The Center for the Custody of Orphans and the Center for Military Chaplainship of the UGCC Lviv Archeparchy organized an excursion to Lviv for children from the Donetsk region
20 children from the town of Volnovakha (Donetsk region) on April 4 have visited the Saint Peter and Paul Garrison Church and participated in excursions around the city of Lviv. The history of the city and the military church was presented to the guests by Fr. Roman Prokopets, the Head of the Center for the Custody of Orphans of the UGCC Lviv Archeparchy.

Together, with the chaplain, the children visited the «Lviv Coffee Mining Manufacture» and entered its underground. Additionally, the children went sightseeing in Lviv out of the windows of the «Miracle Train», by which they travelled around Lviv streets. In the Merchants’ Tower restaurant, the guests from Eastern Ukraine were treated to a lunch consisting of Galician cuisine meals.
The recreation organizers indicate that such traditional cultural exchanges will be continued further. Very soon – before the coming Easter – new guests from Eastern Ukraine are expected.
