During the assembly, Fr. Roman addressed a word of thanks to all the participants, emphasizing:

"I am also here to say thank you - on behalf of myself, Ukrainian youth, the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church and our entire nation. Thank you for defending our efforts to find a just and lasting peace, for not allowing the world and society to forget about us."

This meeting was an important opportunity to express gratitude for the support of numerous initiatives that have been implemented through the cooperation of the  Patriarchal Commission on Youth Affairs  of the UGCC and Catholic Action. Among them is the recent solidarity visit of Catholic Action representatives to Ukraine.

The meeting also discussed further cooperation in the field of cultural and educational projects that will take place during the 2025 Youth Jubilee.

At the end of the meeting, Fr. Roman Demush thanked the national spiritual director of Catholic Action, Bishop Claudio Giuldori, for his constant prayer and support. The priest handed over to the president of the association, the Honorable Giuseppe Notarstefano, a copy of the miraculous image of the Mother of God of Zarvanytsia as a gift from the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church.

“The Blessed Virgin Mary is our hope. She is an icon of hope for us — a hope that does not disappoint. I would like to offer this icon to you, for the chapel of your organization, so that as you look upon it, you may remember Ukraine and pray for peace. Today we are pilgrims of hope, but I deeply believe that soon we will be able to make a pilgrimage of thanksgiving to the Mother of God, glorified in the miraculous icon of Zarvanytsia, to thank Her for the long-awaited peace.”
