After performing a song dedicated to the soldiers who perished in the war in the East of Ukraine, “Druga Rika” performed a composition entitled “I Surrender”. The band leader noticed that he in no way exhorted Ukrainians to surrender since one can surrender only twice in his life: to their beloved and to God.
Besides, in the very text of the song, Valeriy was singing “God is with me” instead of “You are with me”.
Just notice that, in his interviews and on his own social network page, the frontman for the “Druga Rika” also talks about God. For instance, last year, after his debut as an actor, he expressed his intentions to play in the theatre. Next, Valeriy confessed that theatre was his dream since childhood, so now he will not refuse it and added: “God willing”.
Just as a reminder, the band “Druga Rika” performed at the Christian Youth Forum, “Youth. Church. Ukraine,” in Kyiv in August 2007. At that event, organized by the UGCC Youth Commission, the guys had their performance in front of an audience of ten thousand young Christians.
